Fishing, surfing, shelling, boating, beach walking, birding, golf, tennis, and shopping are only a handful of the activities you can enjoy in and around Garden City Beach, South Carolina. Only 8 miles south of Myrtle Beach, Garden City Beach is an unincorporated coastal community nestled between the Atlantic Ocean on its east and the creeks and tributaries of Murrells Inlet on its west. Garden City Beach takes pride in being recognized as a family beach offering fun filled family activities such as the Sun Fun Kids Fair and Annual Christmas Tree Lighting.

The Garden City Beach Community Association is currently working on 3 projects with local and state officials to serve the people of Garden City Beach and its visitors: a beautification project enhancing the highways and community streets with indigenous plants and decorative lighting; construction of a creek walk running 1,250 feet long and 10 feet wide for fishing, crabbing, birding, walking , and biking; and the addition of a ramp in the Children´s Park for little visitors to enjoy native Lowcountry plants and animals.
